ZRX1200R A.K.A ZRex

I’m more than a little late posting this, but better late than never. As much as I liked riding the 750 Nighthawk and as clean as that bike was I decided I wanted something that was less of the “lost cost” model and something a bit more modern. I wanted better brakes, a liquid cooled engine, and something with horse power that was at least to the century mark.

Howard, the music director at our church let me know that he was selling his ZRX1200R Kawasaki. Knowing how meticulous he was in maintaining the bike, I jumped at it. It certainly meets the my criteria, and then some!

ZRX

The ZRX is a 2002, had low miles and a few upgrades, including a Yosamura RS-3 Exhaust, braded steel brake lines, upgraded foot pegs, Zero Gravity green windscreen, mirror extenders, and a Corbin seat. I added a Stebel airhorn, a fork brace, and a Dynojet jet kit to the carbs. The bike is clean as a pin and runs great.

More on this new addition later after I have a chance to ride it some!

I put the Nighthawk on Ebay and a guy local guy bought it, I hated to see that bike go, it was a lot of fun to ride, and reliable as it could be.
