New “How To” Added

After spending several hours under the car this weekend I have added a new How To page to the site, “How to Change O2 sensors on a ’94 Corvette.” Several weeks ago I came across a good deal on a very clean ’94 Corvette and I couldn’t resist it. It is very clean, but it is a 17 year old car and it does need some repairs to get it back into tip top shape. I’ve often thought that I would like a Corvette and now I have one. It is somewhat a “his” and “hers” thing. Barb has the ’81 Trans Am, and now I have something to take to the car shows.

The How To gives a brief description on what tools are needed and how to get the sensors out and back into the car. It is not really a hard job, but it does require being a bit careful as not to cause more damage. It could be a knuckle buster if you aren’t prepared.

It’s on the home page, or follow this link:

Congrats on the Vette, Bob. You should post some pictures somewhere, once you get it “presentable” to your standards. I’ve wanted one before, but kind of worked past that.

Not sure if you ever saw any of my brother’s Vettes (boy, that seems weird to say) but I really liked riding in them. I remember one time we came back from riding around Ft. Lauderdale in his Vette, and it occurred to me that I had bought two cars and a boat for what he paid for that one. Kind of talked the desire right of me.

    I do love them, though.

    To SiGrayBeard:
Corvettes can be gotten from $5000 to $190,000.
There are six Chassis incarnations over the years, which relate to C1 through C6 Corvettes.
Each has unique driving & handling characteristics, and the newer C6’s even drive more like a ‘regular’ car than the predecessors.

    Barry,

C4s are pretty cheap right now and I have seen a few bargains on C3 Corvettes too. Just depends on how much time and money you want to put in to the car!
