John Stossel tells it like it is!
Dick, my friend in Florida must have a lot of time on his hands, because he always sends me great articles to read. Here is one he sent today, written by John Stossel of ABC on the Townhall.com blog sight. It describes the peril that our Social Security program is in today and its dim outlook for the future.
I have often said that I would be surprised if I ever get to collect any of my Social Security. It will be pretty close, I am only about 4 years from the minimum retirement age and 8 from full retirement. Depending on when I actually sign up and start collecting and how our new President and the Democratic legislators work out the next four years, I could actually see some of the money come back.
But, I know for sure my kid will never collect a dime, in fact, if the system is still here and I am able to collect, she will be paying me! I guess that could be the ultimate parents revenge!
