The opponents (mostly Democrats and the left) predicted that there would be a blood bath in Virginia as shoot outs in bars and restaurants would be come common place events.<\/p>\n<p>Well, the opponents were wrong.  The Richmond Times-Dispatch commissioned a study based on crime statistics compiled by the Virginia State Police.
