As much as I liked riding the 750 Nighthawk and as clean as that bike was I decided I wanted something that was less of the &#8220;lost cost&#8221; model and something a bit more modern.  I wanted better brakes, a liquid cooled engine, and something with horse power that was at least to the century mark.<\/p>\n<p>Howard, the music director at our church let me know that he was selling his ZRX1200R Kawasaki.  Knowing how meticulous he was in maintaining the bike, I jumped at it.   It certainly meets the my criteria, and then some!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.n4rfc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/02\/zrx-001-600.jpg\" title=\"ZRX\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.n4rfc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/02\/zrx-001-600.jpg\" alt=\"ZRX\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The ZRX is a 2002, had low miles and a few upgrades, including a Yosamura RS-3 Exhaust, braded steel brake lines, upgraded foot pegs, Zero Gravity green windscreen, mirror extenders, and a Corbin seat.  I added a Stebel airhorn, a fork brace, and a Dynojet jet kit to the carbs.   The bike is clean as a pin and runs great.<\/p>\n<p>More on this new addition later after I have a chance to ride it some!<\/p>\n<p>I put the Nighthawk on Ebay and a guy local guy bought it, I hated to see that bike go, it was a lot of fun to ride, and reliable as it could be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m more than a little late posting this, but better late than never.
