This is serious. The Obama administration is now eying your IRA and 401K accounts as a method to finance the huge debt that they have run up.<\/p>\n

I first became aware of this about a year ago when someone sent me a link to a Department of Labor paper that was investigating if Individual Retirement Accounts would provide people enough income after they retire. They were proposing requiring IRAs and 401K accounts to include some US Treasury Bonds as part of the investment portfolio.\u00a0 The idea was to have a stable and reliable source of income in the account and not just leaving folks to the risky stock market or bond market.\u00a0 Without even saying that, just typing it, a bit of vomit comes up in my throat!<\/p>\n

Well, obviously the tactic here is to funnel some of the 4 trillion dollars in individual investment accounts into helping pay off some of the US Government Debt.\u00a0 Sure, I want the Federal Government taking my IRA money, that I have been saving since I was 23 years old, and diverting it to US Treasury Bonds that are very likely to be worth nothing in a few years!<\/p>\n

I thought the hole idea of a Individual Retirement Account was to have MY VERY OWN savings and retirement plan.\u00a0 Now, your President has decided that I am not capable of managing\u00a0 my own investments, I need the Government’s help.\u00a0 BULL-you-know-what!<\/p>\n

The time is now to start writing to your Congressman and Senators and let them know that you are against this.\u00a0 I have already fired of a series of letters.\u00a0 While you are at it, make sure that everyone you know is aware of this plot against your IRA.<\/p>\n

You know,\u00a0 this will turn out just as good as Social Security.\u00a0 No matter what they say, they don’t care about you, they are just looking for a way to redistribute your wealth to someone else.\u00a0 Don’t buy into it!<\/p>\n
