{"id":293,"date":"2010-01-02T16:53:58","date_gmt":"2010-01-02T20:53:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wb4eje.com\/?p=293"},"modified":"2013-01-12T17:57:08","modified_gmt":"2013-01-12T21:57:08","slug":"chex-mixaka-party-mix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.n4rfc.com\/?p=293","title":{"rendered":"Chex Mix&#8230;..AKA Party Mix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ok, here it is.\u00a0 The recipe for the best Chex Mix you have ever eaten.\u00a0 This is my mother&#8217;s recipe modified over the years; I like a bit more garlic in mine.<\/p>\n<p>In a small sauce pan melt a stick and a half of butter, use real butter, margarine doesn&#8217;t taste nearly as good.\u00a0 Add five table spoons of Worcestershire sauce, a teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons of garlic powder.\u00a0 Mix these together in the melted butter.<\/p>\n<p>Put 2 cups each of Wheat Chex, Rice Chex, Corn Chex, Cheerios, small pretzel sticks broken in half, and an 11.5 oz. can of mixed nuts into a small roasting pan.\u00a0 I use the \u00a0broiler pan from our oven, it should be a good steel pan, not one of the foil pans.<\/p>\n<p>Pour the butter mix over the Chex mix and stir it in well, get all of the mix wet with the butter sauce.<\/p>\n<p>Bake the mix for 45 minutes to 1 hour at 275 degrees stirring every 15 to 20 minutes. \u00a0Turn the mix over to make sure it stays slightly wet with the butter sauce.\u00a0 I use the convection oven that seems to make the mix a bit crisper and keeps the butter sauce from burning on the bottom of the pan.\u00a0 Bake until the mix is starting to brown.<\/p>\n<p>Let it cool, if you can wait, and enjoy!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ok, here it is.\u00a0 The recipe for the best Chex Mix you have ever eaten.\u00a0 This is my mother&#8217;s recipe modified over the years; I like a bit more garlic in mine.
