{"id":1532,"date":"2021-04-01T14:44:25","date_gmt":"2021-04-01T18:44:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.n4rfc.com\/?p=1532"},"modified":"2021-04-01T14:47:40","modified_gmt":"2021-04-01T18:47:40","slug":"microsoft-survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.n4rfc.com\/?p=1532","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft Survey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was looking for a ultra portable computer that runs Winders 10.\u00a0 Now, I am no fan of Winders 10, but it is the platform that Flex Smart SDR software runs on.\u00a0 Smart SDR is the application that allows me to access and operate my Amateur Radio Station from remote locations over the internet.<\/p>\n<p>I had been using an I7 notebook computer with a 15 inch screen that was heavy has very short battery life.\u00a0 I wanted something smaller, lighter and I found that an I5 process provided perfectly usable performance for Smart SDR.\u00a0 So, looking around I found a pretty good deal on a Microsoft Surface Pro 7.\u00a0 Very light, has touch screen that works very well with the Smart SDR software.\u00a0 For instance, when I want to transmit with the remote radio I can just touch the MOX button on the screen and I am transmitting.\u00a0 Touch it again and I am receiving.\u00a0 Want to change frequency, touch the screen and drag right or left to change the frequency.\u00a0 Very easy to use.\u00a0 I have used the Pro 7 to access the radio remotely several times and it works great.<\/p>\n<p>About a week after I purchased the Surface Pro 7 I get an email from Microsoft with a survey about my opinion of the Pro 7.\u00a0 I liked it just fine so I thought I would go through the survey.\u00a0 Just as I would have expected the survey covered how I used the computer, what features I liked, and features could be added and so on.\u00a0 The last page however was most interesting.\u00a0 It asked me how I feel when I was using my new computer.\u00a0 \u00a0Really, how do I <em><strong>feel<\/strong><\/em> when I use it?\u00a0 Here is the last page of the survey:<\/p>\n<p>Imagine you\u2019ve accomplished the things below with\u00a0<strong>Surface Pro 7<\/strong>, how do you feel?<br \/>\n<em>Please select all that apply.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Makes me feel admired by others<\/li>\n<li>Helps me feel safe<\/li>\n<li>Makes me feel smarter<\/li>\n<li>Makes me feel like I can accomplish anything<\/li>\n<li>Makes me feel unique<\/li>\n<li>Makes me feel like I&#8217;m in control<\/li>\n<li>Makes me feel more creative<\/li>\n<li>Helps me be a responsible person<\/li>\n<li>Helps me feel relaxed<\/li>\n<li>Makes me feel more confident<\/li>\n<li>Makes me feel successful<\/li>\n<li>Helps me reward myself<\/li>\n<li>Makes me feel proud<\/li>\n<li>Helps me improve myself<\/li>\n<li>It helps me find inspiration<\/li>\n<li>Makes me feel more attractive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;m reading down this list of feelings thinking, &#8220;WTF!&#8221;\u00a0 MAKES ME FEEL MORE ATTRACTIVE?\u00a0 Double WTF? Give me a freaking break!\u00a0 This stuff is for millennials!\u00a0 How do I<em><strong> feel<\/strong><\/em>?
